Patient Notice regarding COVID-19 ease of restrictions

ATTN: Please read the information below for clinic appointments.

At Courtenay Massage Therapy, our number one priority is the health and safety of our patients and our team. We have very strict protocols in place while practicing physical distancing and adhering to provincial guidelines. 

 

We are now taking same-day bookings!

We will continue using masks, hand sanitizing, & using an amended prescreen for each appointment.

This is what we do for safety:

1. As a health care clinic we have always had high cleanliness standards and infection control procedures. These have been stepped up and a complete sanitizing will occur after each patient visit. 

2. Every surface including tables, chairs, desks, equipment, door handles, are wiped down between patients with Health Canada approved disinfectant. 

3. All staff and clients must wear masks in common areas but wearing a mask during treatment is up to the discretion of the patient and therapist.

4. To streamline care and minimize contact, we require patients to arrange payment with us by supplying billing or credit card information. 

5. We will stagger appointment times and ask patients to wait in their cars until their room is ready.

6. Each patient must apply hand sanitizer provided to them at reception both upon arrival and following the appointment. 

 

This is what we expect from you prior to visiting our clinic:

Patients may be phoned the day before their appointment to verify payment information, which will be processed without contact after the appointment and receipts sent by email. 

 

1. Do you have any symptoms of communicable disease such as coughing, sneezing, fatigue, runny nose, the loss of taste or smell, sore throat, fever, headache, etc.?

2. Have you been with people who are sick? 

3. Have you left the province or Canada? 

 

If you answered YES to #1 or #2 then please cancel your appointment, stay at home, and if COVID-19 symptoms are present, call 8-1-1 to arrange testing.

If you answered YES to #3 then please provide details and the therapist will contact you if they have concerns.

If you have ANY respiratory symptoms or feel unwell at all you will not be permitted in the clinic.

...other things to know for your visit:

• Patients may be phoned the day before their appointment for pre-screening clarification and verify payment information. 

• Moving forward, you will be required to provide a credit card number which will be securely stored on file in order to use online booking.

• Payments will be processed without contact after the appointment and receipts sent by email. 

• Patients are asked to wear masks when inside the clinic.

  • Since our space is limited, please be on time for your appointment so that we can follow physical distancing rules.

  • For all appointments, we ask that upon your arrival that you stay in your car. We will call, text, or waive to you to come in once we are ready, then you can put on your mask and come inside.

  • Once inside remove your shoes and sanitize your hands, and go to the treatment room. 

• Non-essential companions or pets will not be allowed at this time.
